How to connect Cuts to Postia
Postia turns a post's video into a cut on Cuts: it lifts the sound out and publishes it with the title and text.
- What it takes
- Plain text. Needs a video; its sound becomes the cut. Up to 1000 characters.
- How it connects
- Type your email and the code Cuts sends.
- Plans
- On every plan, the free one included.
- Autopost rules
- No. This network does not let an app read what an account has posted, so a rule cannot watch it. It can still be a destination of any rule.
Step by step
- Open the Accounts screen and press Add account.
- Pick the network.
- Type the email of your Cuts account and press Send code.
- Type the code Cuts emails you and press Connect.
- The channel appears on the Accounts screen and can be picked in the composer straight away.
If something goes wrong, the form shows the network's own answer in words, and nothing is saved until the connection works.
Questions about Cuts
Why was my post refused by Cuts?
Cuts needs a video with sound and a title of 3 to 50 characters. The sound can run to two minutes; the text, to 1000 characters.
When can people hear my cut?
Every cut waits for Cuts moderation. Its link works once a moderator approves it.
Can an autopost rule watch my Cuts account?
No. This network does not let an app read what an account has posted, so a rule cannot watch it. It can still be a destination of any rule.
A post says "Partly failed". What does that mean?
It reached some of its channels and not others. Open the post: every destination is listed with what happened to it, and a failed one carries the network's own error message.
Nothing is retried behind your back. Fix the cause, then send the post again to the channels that missed it.
